WOMEN'S HEALTH UPDATE: MOOD SWINGS

Course overview

This course will look at various aspects of women?s health?from the pre-menopausal women to the post-menopausal woman and beyond. It will focus on a number of different aspects of women?s health. The first aspect relates to mental health. This seminar will address the many moods of women, from premenstrual syndrome (PMS) to post-partum depression and the menopausal change. It will look at rates of depression in women vs. men. Next, it will look at the female brain, and address the role of estrogen as it relates to memory and Alzheimer?s disease. It will also look at issues relating to estrogen and sleep.
