Medical Errors for Mental Health Professional Self-Study Course

Course overview

This 2 hour CE course meets the Medical Errors Requirement for licensure for the Board of LCSW, MFT & MHC. This course will focus upon Medical Errors specifically related to the Mental Health profession. Participants will learn the Florida Statute Definition of an "Adverse Medical Incident," how to navigate sentinel events, what a root cause analysis is, what it does and how to implement this method within their practice, as well as other methods for error reduction. This course will have experiential components to be completed as part of the self-study. The online self-study course is broken into short modules featuring video presentation with transcripts, reading materials, and error reduction methods templates.
