Discuss key physiologic and common pathophysiologic changes of aging that impact drug therapy . Session 2 Addiction as a Brain Disease6. Examine the neurobiological responses to substances of abuse,. 7. Describe how your brain responds to drugs. 8. Explore how addiction affects the brain. 9. Examine behavioral changes in addiction. Session 3Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT)10. Explore SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) as a routine part of care in all healthcare settings. 11. Review guidelines for providing, billing, and coding for SBIRT services. Case Study in Acute Post-Operative Pain and Diversion Control 12.
