Butt...Your Patients Are Curious: Considerations for Safer Anal Play
Tracking # 20-1215768
Course overview
Anal sex, both in pop culture and outdated research, is often framed as coercive, inherently uncomfortable, and even dangerous. This session seeks to deconstruct misconceptions about this very common sexual practice by providing clinicians with accurate research, sexual health education, and tools for how to appropriately support their patients of any experience level. As Pelvic Health Therapists, It's time that we're able to offer solid information that is not fear-based (or based on fear based research) and set a new precedent for healthcare professionals to address their patients' concerns with empathy, knowledge and compassion.
