Participants will be able to describe the purpose of trauma informed care, will be able to summarize research findings from the founders of trauma informed care, will be able to explain how traumatic experiences affect a clients mental and physical health as well as their behavior, will be able to screen and assess clients post traumatic stress disorder and apply appropriate interventions, will describe the mind body impact of traumatic related diseases, will describe how ones cultural background informs their process of trauma, and will be able to implement trauma informed care practices with a step by step guide for training employees.
