Course overview

Parkinson's disease is a common neurological disease affecting older adults across a variety of clinical practice settings. Parkinson's disease can be progressive in nature and lead to functional decline including impaired activities of daily living, balance function, gait, and ultimately quality of life and independence. This course will discuss the recommendations in the clinical practice guideline from the American Physical Therapy Association (2022) and provide examples of how to apply the recommendations to your daily practice.
