The primary goal of de-escalation is to reduce emotional intensity so that no one, including the clients behaviors or thinking, is harmed. Objectives of this training are to understand the Importance of Appropriate De-Escalation Techniques, understand the Client and Identify Cues to Dangerous Situations, understand ten Techniques to Defuse Hostile Situations, understand the Importance of Safety related to Avoiding Assault, and to learn how to Appropriately Set Boundaries.
