Course overview
Aromatherapy used in conjunction with massage can help ease muscle and joint pain, headaches and migraines, sinus problems, inflammation, poor circulation, insomnia, lack of energy, and other common conditions seen in a massage practice. This course introduces fifteen of the most commonly used essential oils for an aromatherapy massage. Profiles of these oils include country of origin, color, chemical components, common uses, physical and emotional therapeutic uses, cautions, and blend recommendations. This course will introduce dilution, essential oil chemistry, benefits and contraindications of combining aromatherapy with massage therapy. Adding essential oils to massage oils, creams, or lotions can provide your clients with a relaxing and satisfying massage experience.
