Course overview

Rehabilitation delivered at the right time and intensity is critical for improving patient outcomes after a stroke. However, in some cases, evidence regarding the best type, intensity, and timeline of activity is conflicting. This module discusses the acute medical and therapy management of patients 24 to 48 hours after an acute stroke. You will learn to safely support early mobilization and work with the interdisciplinary team to maximize outcomes. This course provides occupational therapy professionals with guidelines for mobility within the first 24 to 48 hours after a stroke.
