Tracking # 20-1221776
Course overview
Wound healing does not end once the wound surface has closed and re-epithelialisation is completed. The final stages of healing surface remodelling and scar maturation can continue for months to years. Therefore care of the skin and soft tissue during the remodelling phase is of paramount importance to ensure the best possible cosmetic and functional outcomes. This course overviews the final stage of burn wound healing covering cleansing and dressing selection recommendations post-healing skin care scar management and post-burn wound injury rehabilitation. This course aims to provide wound care professionals with an understanding of the unique requirements of post-burn wound injury care and rehabilitation.
