Course overview
Trauma-informed care recognizes and responds to the effects of trauma. All clients should receive trauma-informed care. This course defines basic terms related to trauma and trauma-informed care. It identifies the core principles of trauma-informed care and how they are implemented at organizational and individual levels. Lastly, it explains ways that trauma affects healthcare staff and identifies strategies to help clinicians cope.
