At the conclusion of this CD presentation, the participant will be able to: 1. Define dementia. 2. Describe the differences among the cognitive changes of normal aging, delirium, and dementia. 3. Describe and recognize characteristics of early, middle, and late stages of dementia. 4. Define "quality of life" and "quality of care" and recognize their importance by individualizng a care plan. 5. Understand and explain the person-centered care approach to residents with dementia.
