Course overview

Each year in the United States, about 240,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women and about 2,100 in men. About 42,000 women and 500 men in the U.S. die each year from breast cancer. Breast Cancer is the worlds leading cause of cancer mortality in women with stress being an imminent risk factor. Yoga is an ancient art and science known to mankind can be a wonderful adjunct not only to improve strength and flexibility but also with mind body awareness techniques can help patients with breast cancer and treat them in a holistic approach with techniques like asanas and pranayamas. I am a Physical Therapist and a Certified Yoga Instructor and wanted to introduce Yoga for Breast Cancer.
