This course presents the essentials of breastfeeding for healthcare professionals enabling them to provide accurate and supportive guidance on breastfeeding until the mother can consult with a lactation consultant. Even if providing this advice is not part of your scope of practice this course will help you to recognise signs that the mother and baby need further assistance and you will know when to refer them for additional support. The course aims to introduce the fundamentals of breastfeeding to healthcare professionals.
