Course overview

In this short training program, we focus on ultrasound use for PICC placement at the bedside, specifically vessel identification and visualization to aid needle access, thereby eliminating the need for ?blind sticking?. This program assumes you have a general knowledge of the ultrasound. The program specifically focuses on the step by step procedures necessary to perform an ultrasound guided insertion using the Modified Seldinger Technique and not how to operate an ultrasound unit.
