Course overview

This course gives a brief overview of how psychotherapeutic medications are used to improve treatment and to provide increased understanding of the causes of mental illness. Medications covered include antipsychotic, antimanic, anticonvulsant, antianxiety, and antidepressants. Medication needs for special populations are also included as well as an index that lists the generic and trade names for various psychotherapeutic medications.
