Course overview
Cardiovascular diseases are still among the leading causes of mortality and morbidity in the world. To address this critical issue, the past decade has witnessed a surge in cardiovascular outcome trials focused on evaluating the cardiovascular safety and efficacy of various drugs. One class of drugs that has gained significant attention is the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RA). In this online course, Dr. Herbert D. Aronow will discuss the novel cardiovascular applications of GLP-1 RA drugs in the assessment and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
