Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is associated with many behavioral, social, and psychological problems, such as school failure, family problems, social difficulties, depression, and anxiety. Previously, it was thought that most children with ADHD would "outgrow" many of the associated problems. However, many continue to have difficulties with inattention and impulsivity into their adult years.
