Course overview

Rehab therapists should always consider their patients' mental health while evaluating and developing a treatment plan. Patients may experience a variety of mental health challenges impacting their ability to engage in therapy and achieve their goals. In this course, physical, occupational, and speech therapy professionals will learn about the most common mental health conditions and their impact on a patient's functional ability and participation. We will review strategies to use during treatment. This course equips occupational, physical, and speech therapy providers with knowledge of common mental illnesses, their impact on care, and strategies to enhance clinical and functional outcomes.
