Course overview

Participants will be able to describe developmental challenges that young and middle-aged adults often face in their lives, will be able to list twenty risk factors for depression in adults, will be able to name DSM-5-TR criteria for Major Depression and Persistent Depressive Disorder, will be able to use Becks Cognitive Triad in assessment and treatment of depression, will be able to describe risk factors specific to ethnic and sexual minorities, will be able to describe seven best practice treatments for adult depression, and will be able to describe effective treatments for clients with difficult to treat depression.
