Understanding Ethics Guidelines

Course overview

For this hour we will look to what professionalism and medical ethics mean in the histology lab in both preclinical and clinical settings. Patient and animal safety will be discussed as far as the regulations of HIPAA, 21 CFR, IACUC and IRB. We will look to some examples of conflict of interest and discuss behaviors; professional vs. unprofessional as well as microaggressions.
