Course overview

RNA in situ hybridization (RNA-ISH) is a powerful technique for visualizing gene expression within tissues, but validation of probes remains a major challenge. Current methods are heavily reliant on qualitative interpretation of results and often fail to ensure consistency and reliability, hindering the translation of RNA-ISH into robust clinical diagnostics. This talk presents a novel Dual Validation approach that relies on utilizing a validated, quantitative signal amplification technique through HCR RNA-ISH. This method establishes a standardized, objective framework for validating the specificity and sensitivity of RNA-ISH probes. The approach outlined here paves the way for greater confidence in RNA-ISH assays for potential diagnostic development and solves a major unmet need.
