Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) Technique

Course overview

The purpose of this course is to advance the knowledge and competency in using IASTM as a manual therapeutic modality for Physical Therapists and PT Assistants. Expected Outcomes At the conclusion of the course the participants are expected to understand the efficacy and indications for using IASTM. Participants will be able to select the most appropriate tool and technique to perform IASTM based on the specific needs and body part for each person. Instruction Method: The course consists of 7 hours of online video presentations. Educational Materials: Educational materials consist of online video lectures and demonstrations. Journal article and text book references for further reading are recommended throughout the course. Requirements for Completion of the Course: At the completion of the program, a computerized multiple choice examination will be administered. Upon successfully answering each answer correctly, the participant will be awarded a certificate of completion.
