This course fulfills the requirement for 2 contact hours in pain and symptom management for each MI nursing license renewal. Understanding and responding to misuse, abuse, and diversion of prescribed pain medications assessing risk; commonly abused/diverted drugs; interventions and Michigan initiatives aimed at addressing and preventing the problem. Fulfills requirement for 2 hours in pain and symptom management for nurses licensed in Michigan.
