LIVE WEBINAR Anxiety and depressive disorders are among the most prevalent psychiatric conditions. While common, these disorders can be quite heterogeneous, with presentations, etiologies, and treatment needs varying from patient to patient. There are several evidence-based treatments available as well as an emerging body of literature supporting the use of lifestyle and alternative strategies, but there is no one-size fits all treatment approach. In this presentation, Dr. Ashley Smith will cover a wide-range of treatment methods and modalities that can be beneficial for anxiety and depressive disorders, including traditional psychological approaches like therapy and medication. We will also explore alternative interventions such as the use of exercise, nutrition, supplementation, social/relationship factors, and positive psychology practices. We will explore how to use various treatments ethically and effectively and address multiple intervention targets. By the end of this training, attendees will have a robust understanding of how to approach the treatment of anxiety and depression from a whole-person perspective.
