The University of Florida Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory and the Humane Society of the United States will be hosting an animal cruelty investigations workshop. This workshop is open to law enforcement, crime scene investigators, evidence technicians, animal control officers, veterinarians, and prosecutors interested in advancing their knowledge of both small and large-scale animal cruelty investigations. The course will be a mixture of lecture format and hands-on activities. Topics will include fundamentals for evidence collection with both large- and small-scale animal crimes, including an overview of how to utilize veterinary forensic sciences and unique considerations for large-scale investigations.
