Engaging in musical activity (such as listening to or creating music) involves almost every region of our brain as well as our minds, our thoughts, and our spirit. The outcome of this course is for the learner to describe the elements of and principles of sound; discuss how music engages the whole brain; identify the whole-body benefits of music; and examine the physiological and psychological effects of music.
