An overview of commons diseases of dromedary and Bactrian camels in the U.S. and how to manage them. Touching on, amongst other things, gastrointestinal parasitism, other gastrointestinal diseases, nutritional secondary hyperparathyroidism, neonatal care, and nutrition, as well as what lab tests to use for diagnoses. How to do a physical exam on a camel. A brief summary of medications used in camels, and which commonly used medications can be toxic in camels, such as banamine and bute. An introduction into camel restraint, including use of the hobble and lip twitch. And a demonstration of how to draw blood from camels.
