This dynamic, 2-hour, live, interactive webinar hosted by Zoom enhances your role as an occupational therapist (OT) to support teachers and students through Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). It focuses on equipping OTs with effective strategies to empower teachers in addressing students' needs at Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels, ultimately improving student outcomes before considering referrals for specialized OT services. The course includes an introduction to MTSS, a strategy selection method, collaborative case studies, action plan development, and Collaboration Enhancement. Discover techniques for collaborating with teachers to provide targeted support and enhance classroom strategies. At the end of this course, you will be able to (1) state the key components of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and describe the step-by-step process for implementing it in a school setting, (2) identify and select appropriate Tier 1 and Tier 2 strategies for addressing various student challenges, as demonstrated through scenarios and examples, (3) list intervention strategies that can be applied to case studies presented during the webinar, and (4) state three methods to integrate recommended solutions into classroom tasks. This distance-learning, interactive format is offered at 0.2 CEUs, Introductory Level, OT Service Delivery, and targeted to introductory- to advanced-level OTs, COTAs, PTs, educators, and other pediatric professionals.
