(HS Lender 059916 2024) Building Healthy Parent-Child Relationships through Attachment-Based Play
Tracking # 20-1243760
Course overview
Children, regardless of their backgrounds, require a safe environment to grow and connect with others. Play-based methods of engagement tap into children's natural medium to provide moments of learning, joyful connection, regulation, and positive connection. The quickest and most powerful way to get to transformative moments with children is through interactive, face-to-face, reciprocal, cooperative interactions that rely on movement, rhythm, touch, a prosodic voice, and eye contact. In our session, we'll utilize embodied play and mindfulness exercises to strengthen the bond, safety, and trust between parent and child. You'll actively engage in: Powerful and transformative role of play in child development Therapeutic foundations of play-based activities Critical child resilience-building and playful interventions for engagement Involving parents as active partners and agents of healing Integrating movement, laughter, and spontaneity into practice
