Course overview

This course provides an overview of evidence-based practice and how to incorporate it into daily nursing practice. After outlining the EBP process, the course highlights how to formulate an appropriate clinical question; how to find the best research evidence, appraise it, and apply it to patient care; and finally, how to evaluate the outcomes of practice decisions. Additionally, learners are provided with multiple resources to further enhance their knowledge and EBP skill-sets. Course Objectives: * Describe evidence-based practice (EBP). * List the steps of the EBP process. * Recognize the need to incorporate evidence into practice and to disseminate the results to others.
