LIVE WEBINAR : January 22, 2025 Counselors undertake the process of therapy by listening and responding to the stories their clients share as well as what is observed during the counseling session. When considering what to include in progress notes, counselors may struggle with what to include or how to document the session. Knowing how to effectively conceptualize a counseling session can guide the writing of progress notes. This skill helps counselors better connect with their clients as their documentation should be used to guide their clinical work. This course: Provides a foundation for why progress notes are important; Explains a method for how to write progress notes; Gives an overview of what to include in documentation; and Examines how to use progress notes to inform therapeutic work.
