LIVE WEBINAR: JANUARY 14, 2025 At a time when trans rights are under attack across the country, now is an especially important time to learn practical strategies to help provide support to trans and nonbinary youth and their families. Research indicates that trans people have a suicide attempt rate around 40% and family support significantly lowers depression, anxiety, and suicidality. In this presentation, Deborah Coolhart will provide clinicians with strategies to assist families who are adjusting to their youths' trans/nonbinary identities so they can provide this protective support. Additionally, because dysphoria and minority stress are such immense stressors for trans and nonbinary youth, this workshop will provide strategies for building resilience through strengthening community, well-being, and mental health.
