Course overview

This session will address the role of aging as a modifiable risk factor for most of the health problems seen in geriatric dogs and what vets can do about it. Our understanding of the biology of aging has reached the stage where we can take a preventative approach to age-associated diseases. Vets already have tools to prolong healthy lifespan in our patients and more solutions are rapidly emerging from ongoing research. We will cover what you can do today, and what you may be able to do tomorrow, to help your patients live longer, healthier lives.
