The Strength of Jungian Psychology: Illuminating the Darkness

Course overview

What truly constitutes a strong man or a strong woman. Jungian thought contributes significantly and uniquely to this conversation by arguing that true strength of character derives from illuminating the darkness. In other words, strength emerges from a particular orientation to the archetypal shadow, namely from an embrace of the less known and less accepted aspects of ourselves. Precisely what this entails will be the focus of this lecture and discussion. In so doing, we hope to illumine in some way the strength we can bring to the challenges before us in 2024.
