"How lucky to be in Veterinary Medicine! You get to play with puppies and kittens all day." We have all heard that and we all know that is not even close to being true. Even if we do have puppy or kitten patients, they are not always healthy. Parvo is a disease that destroys wellbeing in all - the puppy, the owner, and the veterinary team. Fighting to save the life of a sick puppy has not only physical demands, but also significant mental strain and emotional drain. Adding cases like this to an already overwhelmed and overworked staff can deplete morale, stamina, and resources. How can we change the outcome for the better when a puppy is diagnosed with parvo? Elanco's new CPMA treatment for Parvo is not only saving the lives of puppies but is also improving the lives of the people who care for them. This single dose of Compassion goes a long way in helping to energize the veterinary team to care for the lives of their patients, their clients, and their own lives.
