Feeding and Swallowing Interventions for Persons with Dementia

Course overview
This course for speech-language pathologists and occupational therapy professionals presents interventions for treating feeding and swallowing impairments in people with moderate or severe dementia. Case studies model clinical reasoning to determine which intervention is most effective for each patient and how to determine whether an intervention needs to be modified or stopped. Documentation best practices and interprofessional team and caregiver engagement strategies for reinforcing interventions are also presented.
