Course overview

This one-hour elective course is designed to improve professional and communication skills. Ostensibly, all Florida opticians are technically skilled. In fact, every requirement to become licensed and every test that must be passed relates to technical ability. So, what makes a truly effective ECP? It is the ability to persuade patients to accept recommendations. Sometimes it takes a real team (optician, co-workers, boss, doctor) to accomplish these goals. This can best be achieved by being an effective communicator who is trusted. Those are some of the skills this course seeks to improve.
