Start courseCourse overview
Program Description: More and more pets are tipping the scale. Obesity, described as excess body weight that contributes to impaired health and body function, is the most common nutritional disease seen in companion animals. Obesity can result from animal factors, such as breed or spay/neuter status, or from considerations related to their owners, such as diet choice or feeding methods. This presentation reviews the adverse consequences of obesity and discusses treatment strategies that can help with healthy and successful weight loss in overweight dogs and cats. Cases will also be shared to further understanding of these strategies.
