LIVE WEBINAR: MARCH 3, 2025 This 3-hour course provides a concise introduction to motivational interviewing (MI). William R. Miller, the psychologist who first described MI in 1983, will explain and demonstrate key components of the method. Aligned with the 4th (2023) edition of the Miller & Rollnick text, the course covers essential topics including the art of empathic understanding, the underlying spirit of MI, ambivalence as human nature, and the four foundational processes of MI. Participants will also learn to recognize, invite, and respond to the language of change, rethink resistance, and recognize and enhance readiness for change.
