USF TCOP Teaching Certificate Program: January 2025 Module - Preceptor Track

Course overview

One (1) hour of CE credit has been applied for through the Florida Board of Pharmacy. The presentation will be given in the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy MDD, 560 Channelside Drive MDD Tampa, FL 3360. Goals of the program are to: 1. Review challenges that may occur when precepting learners; 2. Discuss strategies for overcoming challenges for a successful rotation; 3. Develop a proactive plan to address challenges in your rotation setting. This longitudinal certificate program introduces fundamental theories and best practices for application in various educational situations and settings. During the live presentation, there will be facilitator-led discussions and assessment questions to verify understanding of the materials presented. Examples of these questions are listed below: 1. What is your biggest challenge as a preceptor? 2. Why does this challenge occur? 3. What have you done to mitigate these challenges?
