Course overview

This course will provide acupuncturists with additional tools to increase treatment efficacy and patient satisfaction. Topics discussed include: 1. What exactly is "aromatherapy"? 2. A brief history of aromatherapy throughout time and different cultures. 3. How aromatherapy works within the body along with potential side effects and contra-indications. 4. The most commonly used essential oils used in aromatherapy. 5. Methods of application including inhalation, air diffusers, massage and/or ingestion. 6. The many ways to incorporate aromatherapy into an acupuncture practice. 7. Ways to incorporate aromatherapy into TCM treatments including point protocols and aromatherapy prescriptions
