Course overview

Social Workers in the criminal defense setting are becoming more common in Michigan and across the country. But when should you request a social worker? Come to this training lead by the Wayne County Defender Support Unit to learn what social workers really do in this role, how they can enhance your team, and when to bring them onto a case. See examples of work product and hear stories of how the involvement of a social worker has improved case outcomes. This training is appropriate for all defense attorneys, not only MAC attorneys. However, the last 30 minutes will be dedicated to the specific process for requesting a social worker through IDSD. SPEAKER: Members of the IDSD Wayne County Defender Support Unit
