State the difference between ARFID and Pediatric Feeding Disorder. At the end of this course, you will be able to (1) state the difference between ARFID and Pediatric Feeding Disorder; (2) identify the role of anxiety, sensory processing, family dynamics, and cultural factors in feeding behaviors; (3) list treatment plans to promote healthy eating routines, improve sensory integration, and address emotional barriers to feeding, and (4) identify strategies for working with families, dietitians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans. This distance-learning, independent format is offered at 0.2 CEUs, Introductory Level, OT Service Delivery, Foundational Knowledge, and targeted to introductory-to intermediate-level OTs, OTAs, SLPs, other pediatric professionals, and parents. The course instructor, Allissa Younan, MS, OTR/L, has been a pediatric occupational therapist since 2016.
