Participants will be able to describe the elements of Behaviorism and Cognitive therapy and how these principles lead to CBT development, will be able to describe CBT and how to integrate with the treatment of other mental health pathologies, will be able to describe the development of behavioral schemas and cognitive conceptualizations and their influence on problematic behavior, will be able to define strategies and counseling techniques of CBT to promote recovery for their clients, will be able to describe how to encourage clients to change by evolving their beliefs and thoughts about their problems, and will be able to utilize the cognitive triad.
