Course Information: Vestibular disease is a fairly common problem in small animals that can have a very dramatic presentation. This lecture will cover the pathophysiology of vestibular disease, and the signs associated with it. We will also discuss treatment and nursing considerations for patients who feel like their world is spinning. Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to: 1. Examine the anatomy of the vestibular system 2. Describe the signs associated with vestibular disease 3. Discuss peripheral and central localization of vestibular disease Level and Prerequisites: This intermediate CE course will be open for enrollment to veterinary technicians/technologists, support staff, veterinary teams, actively interested in vestibular disease.
