Course overview

In this 1.5 hour on demand course participants will learn about the benefits of using Activator poles with the LSVT BIG protocol to improve patient outcomes for Parkinson's disease. Participants will understand and determine how to incorporate the poles into the LSVT BIG Maximal Exercises based on client deficits and determine which walking technique (Urban poling or Activator) is most appropriate bases on client needs. Participants will also gain an understanding of how the Activator Poles and program can be an effective option to reduce the use of passive mobility devices such as canes and walkers when appropriate to increase independence and improve quality of life.
