Red Flags in the Clinic

Course overview

This course is a reminder and potentially new information to assist acupuncturists in accurately assessing life and death scenarios. Particularly those that may present as relatively benign conditions. We will be providing visual reinforcement for bedside diagnostics. The first hour of the course is reviewing red flag cases where the patient had been to a medical doctor within the prior 24 hours and had been told to come back for a future appointment or given a clean bill of health. The patients were examined in my clinic and sent to the hospital for life saving interventions. The second hour is on the diagnosis of deeper more chronic illnesses that had been missed by medical doctors and acupuncturists.
