Trauma-Sensitive & Responsive Care of Young Children

Course overview

This workshop presents an opportunity to understand the impact of trauma on the young child's brain and the subsequent symptoms. Additionally, we will connect head knowledge of the unique developmental needs of young children, with heart practice toward sensitive responses that meet the needs of young children and their families, who have experienced trauma, with evidence-based intervention. We will explore specific case studies to apply our emerging understanding of trauma and relationship interventions. This training will include sensitive cultural practice techniques.
