Course overview

The academic and research landscape is changing with artificial intelligence (AI) offering new possibilities and challenges at each stage of the research process. AI has the potential to enhance researchers' capabilities and efficiency in all aspects of research from the literature review to data analysis idea generation and study design but it also comes with unique challenges. This course overviews the capabilities of AI in research introducing different AI tools that can be used to streamline processes enhance creativity and generate new insights. However these benefits will be weighed against the need for critical thinking ethical considerations and maintaining research integrity throughout this new phase in research. This course aims to provide an overview of the potential uses of generative AI in each stage of the research process.
